What is the mission of Miracles In Sight?
Miracles In Sight is one of the largest eye banks in the world, helping to restore sight and change lives for thousands of patients each year. We provide ophthalmologists with high-quality tissue for corneal transplants and partner with innovators worldwide to develop new processes and products to meet ophthalmic challenges as they evolve. Miracles In Sight focuses heavily on training and educating the medical community and supporting partners and organizations around the world. Our mission is to support the restoration, preservation, and enhancement of sight through transplant, research, and innovation.

I am a Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT) and Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS). I have served on numerous Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) committees and sub-committees, including the Medical Advisory Board, Technician Education Committee, Certification Board, and Research Committee. I have served as faculty for the Technician Education Symposium and Slit Lamp Symposium, training over 600 technicians domestically and internationally.

We are motivated to continue to work and partner with like-minded organizations that align with our mission to support the restoration, preservation, and enhancement of sight through transplant, research, and innovation.
What are your goals in becoming involved with GAEBA?
Our goals are to be a resource and a valuable member sharing best practices and strengthening eye banks worldwide. Additionally, we hope to partner with and guide eye bank regulations internationally.
What do you expect/wish to get out of being a member of GAEBA?
Our wish is to gain collaborative partners, learn the challenges that patients and eye banks face, and work to develop solutions that ultimately reduce worldwide cornea blindness.
Is there anything you would like to share with other GAEBA members or specialists in general in the field of eye banking and cornea donation?
We are honored to be members of this collaborative group of associations and organizations. We look forward to working side by side with GAEBA members and eye banks worldwide to strengthen donor programs.
