GAEBA’s new membership
Help tackle corneal donation and corneal blindness by becoming a GAEBA member today.
There are 12.7 million people awaiting a corneal transplant, mostly located in low-middle income nations or without access to a local eye bank. To improve access, the world needs all hands on deck.
To tackle the grand challenges impacting donation and access, GAEBA invites institutions active in eye donation, eye banking, processing, allocation or distribution, or eye health care, both domestically and internationally, to join our association and be part of the solution.
Members will benefit from our worldwide network, by sharing knowledge and using our synergies to give a platform to the field of eye banking and corneal blindness. Members will be invited to help shape the field, develop new opportunities and improve global access to donations and allocation.
GAEBA has a range of new initiatives taking place in 2022, including the World Eye Bank Symposium, the launch of a new Annual Award Program, regular website and communication up-dates and the development of strategies that support the targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Vision 2030 initiatives of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.
